Whitebarn North Embankment Culvert Works, Trefriw

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out works to a flood relief culvert located on Whitebarn North embankment in Trefriw, Conwy (Grid ref: SH78483 63549). The embankment has been registered under the Reservoirs Act 1975 and the proposed works include upgrading of the culvert and improved operational access to the outfall flap.

NRW considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. Although an environmental statement is not proposed, the scheme design has considered environmental factors associated with the site and incorporated environmental improvements where feasible.

The scheme design can viewed from the Natural Resources Wales Gwydyr Office, Gwydyr Uchaf, Llanrwst, Gwynedd, LL26 0PN, during the hours of 10:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
