Gutter Fawr Outfall Flood Risk Management Scheme, Talacre

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) gives notice that it proposes to carry out works to a flood risk management tidal outfall structure located near Talacre in north east Wales (Grid ref: SJ 125 835).

The upgrading works include replacement of an existing top hung flap with side hung doors, removal of existing debris screen and replacement with a new contingency penstock, new access steps on the upstream side and downstream side of structure and the installation of new CCTV and telemetry to monitor flows to aid out of hours attendance.

NRW considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.

Although an environmental statement is not proposed, the scheme design has considered environmental factors associated with the site and incorporated environmental improvements where feasible.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
